We think a directory that recommends tools should be upfront about how it works and how it makes money. Here's the honest version.

How we make money

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or buy, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. That's what keeps the project running. Affiliate links are labelled and use rel="sponsored nofollow".

Editorial independence

• No pay-for-ranking. A company cannot pay to rank higher or get a better review.
• Affiliate status doesn't change scores. Whether or not a tool has an affiliate program has no effect on how it's rated or selected.
• We list free and open-source tools with no affiliate revenue whenever they're the best option — and we'll say so.
• We criticise tools when they're overpriced, weak, or beaten by an alternative, affiliate or not.

How we select tools

Tools are evaluated on the service they provide, pricing relative to peers, quality of the experience, and real usefulness versus competitors. The goal is to save you time choosing — not to push the most expensive option. More about the project on our About page.

AI-generated content

mySelectas is built largely with generative AI: much of the content and code is generated or assisted by AI tools and is not exhaustively reviewed by a human. That means mistakes happen. If you spot one, please flag it through the Submit / contact form — community corrections keep the directory accurate.
